For various reasons, the Suzuki Swift still hasn't reached our shores, but the car does relatively well in Europe, which is where Suzuki will unveil its sporty Swift S-Concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
Suzuki hasn't shown us much of the Swift S-Concept beforehand, only releasing this single digital image of the car's front fascia. From what we can make of the image, the S-Concept show car pushes the Swift's styling envelope a step further. Flared fenders, projector headlamps, gaping lower-air intakes, and a wild rear spoiler appear to be inspired by Suzuki's Swift WRC rally car all should help lend the Swift-S an aggressive appearance.
What's beneath the skin is anyone's guess at this point. The current Swift Sport utilizes a 1.6-liter I-4, which sends 123 horsepower and 109 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels. Large 17-inch wheels and dual exhaust tips lend the Sport some street cred, but with 2436 pounds in tow, the hatchback is still a little ways from being a certified pocket rocket. Some suggest the Swift S-Concept could potentially adopt a turbocharger, or even send power to the rear wheels via an all-wheel-drive system.
